The University issued an update to students and employees on April 6 to advise that Minister Bloyce Thompson has appointed Michelle Flaherty as the mediator for the upcoming talks with the UPEI Faculty Association.

The following message outlining student supports, 活动, and events available during the strike was also emailed to UPEI students on behalf of UPEI 学生事务 on April 6, 2023. Please note that some programming is not taking place over the holiday weekend.

The University and UPEI Faculty Association have agreed to return to the bargaining table with the assistance of a government-appointed mediator.
